This was, once again, a redesign of an existing garden, that is lovingly maintained by the owners. The newly designed and built parts of the garden included the front garden, a border around the pond and a border above a retaining wall next to a terrace. There were big boulders already used in the garden, so I decided to use them again in the front garden, which is informal, yet elegant thanks to a pared down colour palette. There is no lawn. In contrast, the border next to the house is playful and colourful, filled with long flowering perennials and romantic grasses. The border around the pond is lush and green, with geraniums, day lilies and irises. There are a couple of pictures of the original garden at the end of the gallery.
