After a few years, the original “maintenance free” garden seemed dull and lifeless to its owners. I was asked to redesign two sides of the garden that were in a direct view from the house. We got rid of most of the ground covering evergreen shrubs, improved the soil and planted some flowering shrubs and lots of perennials and grasses. In the bay created by the borders we planted four small trees that together create a green gazebo. The borders are changing through the seasons and are full of life, movement and colour. Two pictures of the original garden can be found at the end of the gallery.
