The site around the bungalow is sloping in two directions. The owners contacted me before the site was levelled so we were able to work on an original way how to bridge the 1,2 m elevation difference between the front and the rear of the house. There is a path with several steps that leads around the house. But the space connecting the house with the main part of the garden has been split into two levels with wooden decks and raised beds with roses, perennials, herbs and ornamental grasses. There is also a long colourful border at the oposit side of the garden and hornbeam hedges and hydrangeas at the other two sides. The front garden needed to accommodate two big dogs running along the fence and therefore most of the plants there are planting in raised beds and we used stone as mulching material.
